Gather 'Round the Fire

Group glassblowing events make for unforgettable gatherings—whether you’re celebrating a birthday, hosting a holiday get-together, planning a team outing, or just looking for a hands-on way to connect.

Each guest will work one-on-one with our skilled glassblowers, shaping molten glass into a one-of-a-kind keepsake. Choose from an ornament, or small bud vase, or upgrade to a small bowl, or gazing ball. Then make it your own with rich colors and textures drawn from the fire. Groups are welcome to bring in refreshments and make the studio their own during the event.

  • When your group arrives, each guest will fill out a quick waiver—and a shipping form if needed. We’ll start by gathering together to walk through your item choices, color options, and design ideas.

    Then it’s time to step into the hot shop. We’ll begin with a group orientation to go over safety and the flow of the process. Once everyone’s familiar with the space, each guest will have the chance to work one-on-one with our experienced glassblowers to create their own piece.

    Throughout the session, our instructors will share stories and insights—from the science behind molten glass to the rich traditions and history of the craft. The energy is communal and celebratory—guests often cheer each other on, snap photos, and share in the joy of watching each piece take shape.

    You’re welcome to enjoy the gallery space during the event. For groups booked for 2 hours or more, we recommend bringing light snacks. If you’d like to arrange catering, just reach out ahead of time and we’ll help coordinate the setup.

  • To keep things flowing smoothly in the studio, item choices are selective for groups of 7 or more—glassblowing takes time, and we want everyone to have the chance to create something special.

    In group classes we offer small items- ornament or bud vase. For certain group sizes, you’ll have the option to extend your experience to include small bowls and gazing balls. If available, this upgrade will appear during the booking process.

    The more guests, the more time we’ll need for the class. The heat is an important consideration as well- in the warmer months we find that 2 hours in the studio is the ideal max. Please reach out a week or more in advance to book a signature item group class.

    Examples of Event Duration:A group of 9 guests making signature items typically needs about 3.5 hours, whereas a group of 9 making a small item is about 1.5 hours.

  • If your group includes more than 15 guests, let’s chat!

    For larger groups, we may be able to split your session—while one half is in the hot shop working one-on-one with our glassblowers, the other half can relax, explore ideas for nearby activities, or even enjoy a catered meal. We’re happy to help brainstorm options!
