Our Story
Jacob, a Kentucky native, graduated from Centre College where he studied under renowned glass artist Stephen Rolfe Powell. Jacob met Lauren in 2015 at a glass studio on the Gulf Coast of Florida where Lauren worked as an art educator and artist.
The partnership grew through a shared love of creative expression, community, and the outdoors. They envisioned growing roots, and opening a studio of their own where Jax would learn the craft alongside them.
In 2024, Fire & Fern Glass Studio found its home in the former Weston Glass Studio in Berea, Kentucky—a beloved local landmark established by Michelle Weston in 2002.
The creative space continues its legacy of glassblowing excellence under the stewardship of Jacob and Lauren Moody, along with their son Jax.
Fire & Fern Glass Studio embodies Jacob and Lauren's creative vision and deep appreciation for nature and art. Their hope is to offer a space that fosters connection, inspiration, and the discovery of beauty.
Fire & Fern invites you to join their journey, witness the magic of glassblowing, and become part of their creative family.
